Agatha Christie

.

Agatha Christie, (15 September 1890 – 12 January 1976), was a British crime writer of novels, short stories, and plays. She also wrote romances under the name Mary Westmacott, but she is best remembered for her 80 detective novels—especially those featuring Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple—and her successful West End theater plays.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Christie is the best-selling writer of books of all time and, with William Shakespeare, the best-selling author of any kind. She has sold roughly four billion copies of her novels. According to Index Translationum, Christie is the most translated individual author, with only the collective corporate works of Walt Disney Productions surpassing her. Her books have been translated into at least 103 languages.

  1. Some of the people who have mentioned missing episodes might consider buying one of the fine sets of CDs available on the web and uploading the missing episodes. There is a gentleman in Australia who has lovingly restored these shows, re-mastering them to reduce noise and hiss, and others gives them away for personal and private use just for the cost of producing and mailing them. In my opinion this good fellow deserves an award. You can read about him and see his work at downunderdvd.com.

  2. Oh right, I also wanted to mention that the link for 'They Do It With Mirrors Part 3' appears to be broken. Anyone wishing to download 'They Do It With Mirrors' should check whether the link for part 3 is working.

  3. From the attitude of a few people posting here you'd think this was a service they were paying a lot of money for, rather than just being grateful for what's given. Imagine the amount of time and effort that has gone into encoding and posting this series. We ought to be showing our appreciation rather than just complaining.
